3 Reasons Why You Need a Social Media Manager

It’s no secret that we’re firm believers in the value of investing in a social media management service for your company, but if you’ve never outsourced that part of your business before, or if you’re unsure of how it could work for you, you may not see the value right away. If you’re thinking about hiring a social media manager or if you’re questioning if outsourcing this is the right fit for you, we’re here to explain why you should.

It Gives You More Time to Focus on Sales and Business Development

First and foremost: putting the task of developing and posting social media content on someone else’s plate gives you back an unbelievable amount of time because it’s one less thing for you to do. If social media management takes you five hours per week, that’s 260 hours per year that you’d get back into your schedule to focus on other things in your business. Imagine how much you could accomplish with an extra 260 hours! (A lot.)

Allowing someone else to take over this part of your business means that you’ll be able to dedicate the time that you would’ve spent on social media management to something like sales and business development instead. You’d actually have the capacity in your schedule to reach out to prospective clients or customers, hold more sales meetings, develop business growth plans, and more. All of those tasks will lead you to making more money in the long run, and isn’t that what you want? (Of course it is.)

It Brings in Professional Expertise

Sure, anybody can post on social media, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re doing it well with a strategy behind it. (Yes, we’re talking about your boss’ 13-year-old niece who lives on TikTok.) What’s the point of spending all of this time writing social media posts when you’re not even sure they’re providing results? It’s time to stop throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping that it sticks, and trying to do something you know you’re not an expert at, when you can bring in someone who knows what they’re doing and can make a drastic change in your marketing strategy.

The advantages of working with a professional social media manager include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Being able to rely on them to keep up with the latest trends and algorithm changes
  • Having consistent content published to your profiles that is professional, knowledgeable, and engaging
  • Leveraging their years of expertise in various industries and with different companies to provide a fresh perspective and new ideas

Aren’t those reasons alone enough to make you see how much value they provide?

It Supports the Other Parts of Your Business

Having a consistent and engaged social media presence for your business matters. You may not think that social media is important for you, especially if you’re already busy and feel like it won’t do anything, but social media acts as just one part of the larger marketing ecosystem.

Putting time and effort into your social media strategy is known to:

And so much more. If you’re looking for bigger and better results all around in your marketing and sales strategy, focusing on your social media presence is one way to do that.
